Rocker W Chef

MUST DO

  • Cook and serve meals to pastors, leaders, and guests of Rocker W with humility and honor.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cook all meals for guests of Rocker W, following the provided recipe book and ensuring an appealing plate and/or buffet presentation, helping to facilitate an experience for each guest.
  • Cook meals in a timely manner that aligns with the RW event schedule.
  • Develop seasonal recipes and menus as needed.
  • Source meats and other food items locally, near or below the current budget.
  • Shop for all groceries, including beverages and food for meals and snacks, and ensure freshness of food, discarding out-of-date items.
  • Keep detailed records of all purchases, processing receipts as directed by Accounting.
  • Be hospitable to and comfortable interacting with pastors and leaders.
  • Have a general knowledge of RW and the ability to direct guest questions to the appropriate RW staff member.
  • Responsible for clearing tables and cleaning the kitchen after each meal and keeping the stock room neat and orderly.
  • Help with other ranch tasks during down times as needed such as mowing, laying mulch, landscaping, etc.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Understand flavors, cooking techniques, and be willing to learn how to grill and smoke meats according to the traditional RW style
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and remain calm while juggling multiple tasks with guests present
  • Knowledge of food and sanitary regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and high work ethic
  • Self-motivated and excellent time management skills
  • Flexible, adaptable, and a willingness to learn new skills applicable to the job
  • Be a team player
  • Ability to carry, push, pull, reach overhead, walk, stand, bend, stoop, reach away from body, and lift 50 lbs.
