15 But the Lord said to him, “Go! For this man is My chosen instrument to take My name to Gentiles, kings, and the Israelites. 16 I will show him how much he must suffer for My name!”

26 An angel of the Lord spoke to Philip: “Get up and go south to the road that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.” (This is the desert road.) 27 So he got up and went…

The Spirit told Philip, “Go and join that chariot.”

1. If He told us everything, Satan would create obstacles and roadblocks.

So we wanted to come to you—even I, Paul, time and again—but Satan hindered us.

2. You might not be spiritually and mentally prepared to handle the information.

“I still have many things to tell you, but you can’t bear them now.”

3. There may be other people involved who are not ready for God’s plans.

In the fourth generation they will return here, for the iniquity of the Amorites has not yet reached its full measure.

4. God will not give you new direction until you have obeyed the guidance He has already put in your heart.

Specific direction does not come until you obey the general direction!

A man’s steps are established by the Lord, and He takes pleasure in his way.

10 Whoever is faithful in very little is also faithful in much, and whoever is unrighteous in very little is also unrighteous in much. 11 So if you have not been faithful with the unrighteous money, who will trust you with what is genuine? 12 And if you have not been faithful with what belongs to someone else, who will give you what is your own?

You cannot overcome in the future what you have refused to face before!

33 But Saul replied, “You can’t go fight this Philistine. You’re just a youth, and he’s been a warrior since he was young.” 34 David answered Saul: “Your servant has been tending his father’s sheep. Whenever a lion or a bear came and carried off a lamb from the flock, 35 I went after it, struck it down, and rescued the lamb from its mouth. If it reared up against me, I would grab it by its fur, strike it down, and kill it. 36 Your servant has killed lions and bears; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, for he has defied the armies of the living God.” 37 Then David said, “The Lord who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.” Saul said to David, “Go, and may the Lord be with you.”

David did not kill Goliath on the battlefield in the Valley of Elah before 1000s of onlookers — David killed Goliath in a forgotten sheep pasture where no one was looking!

There are no small assignments!

There is no unimportant job!

God can’t trust you with something big if you despise those things that are small!

And let the peace of the Messiah, to which you were also called in one body, control your hearts. Be thankful.

Peacefulness is the most attractive atmosphere! Even hellcats crave it!

Thankfulness turns on the lights!

For though they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God or show gratitude. Instead, their thinking became nonsense, and their senseless minds were darkened.

People are not thankful because they are happy — they are happy because they are thankful!
