Back Summer at Church on the Move 2019

Our God is the God of the "Do-Over"—he invented it!

Our God offers a "Do-Over"...

To those who get beat up by life.

8 Then Job took a piece of broken pottery and scraped himself with it as he sat among the ashes. 9 His wife said to him, “Are you still maintaining your integrity? Curse God and die!”

Our God offers a "Do-Over"...

Those those who go down the wrong road in life.

1 Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the Lord’s disciples. He went to the high priest 2 and asked him for letters to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he found any there who belonged to the Way, whether men or women, he might take them as prisoners to Jerusalem. 3 As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. 4 He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?” 5 “Who are you, Lord?” Saul asked. “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” he replied.

Our God offers a "Do-Over"...

To those who fail in their life.

In the spring, at the time when kings go off to war, David sent Joab out with the king’s men and the whole Israelite army. They destroyed the Ammonites and besieged Rabbah. But David remained in Jerusalem.

“Put Uriah out in front where the fighting is fiercest. Then withdraw from him so he will be struck down and die.”

Do-overs are ONLY free for you and me because of how much they cost God through Jesus.

Repentance is always the path to a Do-Over. Just turn to Jesus.
