Uncommon is a youth conference specifically designed for students in 6th-12th Grade. In 2019, it was born out of a hope to stir up a desire in the students of Church on the Move to be just that: Uncommon.
Our heart for Uncommon 2024 comes from John 10:10, which says, “I have come that you may have life, and have it to the fullest”. We want to see our students fully surrendered, full of joy, fully graced, fully forgiven, and full of purpose.
Uncommon 2024 is about becoming fully alive.

Pastors Greg and Polly Scott have been integral to Church on the Move for over 20 years, serving as executive pastors for Next Generation ministries. They relocated to Tulsa from Kentucky in 2003 and have three adult children —Ethan, and his wife Aimee, Abigail, and Gabe. They also have 2 grandchildren, Mylo and Jak. They have a heart to see this next generation passionately pursue Jesus and take next steps toward discipleship.
Layla Nahavandi is an international preacher, writer, and Bible teacher known for preaching the Word of God with revelation & fire. After coming from a Muslim background, Layla’s family was radically saved in the early 90s. This life-changing encounter gave Layla a passion for preaching the gospel and mobilizing the Church. Layla is part of the faculty at TheosUniversity, and she is a global evangelist based out of Neuma Church in Melbourne, Australia.
Terry is committed to seeing the next generation of leaders discover their purpose and step out into the plan of God for their lives. In addition to founding Next Generation Leader, Terry serves as the Global Co-Chair for Empowered21 NextGen, the Global NextGen Ambassador for OneHope and the NextGen Pastor at River Valley Church based in Minnesota.
