Broken Arrow Kids Coordinator

MUST DO’S

  • Assist the Kid’s Pastor in introducing kids to the real Jesus, ensuring all logistics for weekend services and events are taken care of and the KOTM strategy of ministry is properly executed in all phases.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee all logistics for the KOTM weekend services and events (volunteer training, baby dedication, KOTM baptisms), including technological needs (iPads, classroom laptops, check-in apps, etc.).
  • Provide collaborative insight and strategy in the programming and creative planning process for kids’ ministry and kids-related events (fall festivals, Easter celebrations, baby dedication, baptisms, etc.).
  • Assist Kids Pastor in ensuring all KOTM lessons are clear and current and that all KOTM environments are fun and welcoming to kids and families, allowing volunteers to provide ministry to the best of their ability.
  • Be strategically visible, engaged, and available during the services for volunteers.
  • Help build a culture, structure, and system that leads people from being spectators to players.
  • Assist with the recruiting, empowerment, leading, and development strategy of volunteers and ensure that all kids’ ministry environments are staffed and properly executed to the COTM standard.
  • Schedule and track volunteer performance to help identify leadership opportunities, change in serve area, etc., keeping the overall best interest of the volunteer in mind.
  • Partner with the BA Care and Volunteer Coordinator to help ensure volunteer onboarding and care is efficient and effective.
  • Be prepared, available, and willing to teach in a classroom environment in an engaging way.
  • Assist with marketing, email, or print piece needs related to families, children, and upcoming events.
  • Assist with inventory and procurement of classroom supplies, toys, etc.
  • Support the Kid’s Pastor with administrative duties as requested (team meetings, calendar, Ramp, etc.).

  • Strong administrative and communication skills
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and execute a wide variety of tasks
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback to volunteers
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (specifically with parents and volunteers)
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and execute a wide variety of tasks

 

WORK SCHEDULE

  • 40 hours per week
  • Weekends required
