“God designed you—and He cares about your body.”
That simple truth forms the foundation of a powerful and wide-ranging conversation with Dr. Kerri Anthony, a board-certified OBGYN and certified menopause specialist, in our latest podcast episode on women’s health.
We talk about every stage of a woman’s reproductive life, from puberty to perimenopause, menopause, and beyond. Along the way, we dismantle myths, normalize conversations that have been taboo for too long, and encourage women to take ownership of their health and well-being.

You might wonder—why is a church podcast discussing menopause, hormones, and anatomy?
Because God doesn’t separate the spiritual from the physical.
Your body is not just a vehicle for your soul—it’s part of God’s good creation.
For far too long, subjects like sex, puberty, hormones, and aging have been pushed into the margins of Christian conversations. That silence has often led to shame, misunderstanding, and isolation—especially for women navigating seasons of change.
The Church is called to be a place of truth, healing, and wholeness. That means having honest, compassionate conversations about every area of life—including the ones that feel messy or confusing.
How many husbands truly understand the hormonal cycle? How many know what to expect during perimenopause or menopause? That lack of understanding can lead to disconnection and frustration in a marriage.
But it doesn’t have to.
The key is communication. Dr. Anthony encourages couples to talk before things get hard. Ask questions like: How do you want me to respond when this happens? What do you need from me in this season?
The more informed and connected you are, the more you can move through the changes—not just survive them, but thrive in them.
Dr. Anthony encourages parents to start conversations with their kids about sex and their bodies around age 7—before puberty begins. You don’t need to share every detail, but you do need to open the door. The goal is to de-taboo the conversation and let your kids know you’re a safe and reliable source of truth.
If you don’t talk to your kids about these things, their peers or the internet will—and likely not from a biblical perspective. Your children (both boys and girls) need to hear from you what’s normal, what to expect, and how to view their bodies as beautifully and intentionally made by God.
For many women, menopause has felt like an ending—the loss of fertility, youth, or energy. But what if we reframed it?
What if it’s the beginning of something beautiful?
This season can be one of reconnection in marriage, of rediscovering who you are, and of walking more closely with God.
Just like any other area of life, you can’t go on autopilot. But with intention, grace, and good communication, it can be a season of flourishing.
If you’ve struggled with symptoms, shame, or silence—know this: you are not broken. You are deeply loved by a God who made your body, who walks with you through every transition, and who offers wisdom and beauty in every stage of life.
