The word Advent comes from the Latin adventus, meaning “arrival.” For hundreds of years, followers of Jesus have set aside the four weeks leading up to Christmas as a time of anticipation and celebration—a season to slow down, remember the story, and look with hope toward Christ’s return.
We believe there’s so much value in experiencing this season both as a church community, in our homes with family and friends, and in meaningful ways with our kids. Below, you’ll find resources designed to help you do just that.
Advent invites us to pause amid the holiday rush and refocus on the heart of Christmas: the gift of Jesus Himself.
Each weekend leading up to Christmas, we’ll walk through the story of Christ’s arrival—the God who came near to bring light into the darkness. Join us as we reflect on the hope, peace, joy, and love He offers the world.
This Christmas season, connect with friends, family, or your small group weekly—preferably on Sunday evenings—to experience Advent together.
Our Friends & Family Advent Guide includes Scripture readings, reflection questions, and simple candle-lighting moments to help you center your week around Jesus.

Advent is for everyone! Our Kids’ Advent Activity Guide complements the Friends & Family Advent Guide, offering age-appropriate devotions, coloring pages, and fun activities to help children discover the wonder of Jesus’ arrival.
Advent is leading us somewhere: to the arrival of Jesus. Plan to celebrate with us in person this Christmas as we light the Christ Candle, marking the culmination of Advent and the fulfillment of God’s promises through Jesus. This will be a meaningful time for the whole family.
